Clara E. Seals

Clara E. Seals, age 82 of Anna, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at her home. She was born April 18, 1937 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of George Walter and Mary (Hileman) Sivia. She married the love of her life John Lee Seals Sr. on August 27, 1951 in Charleston, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 23, 2012. Clara is survived by eight children, Emma (Don) Doerr of Florida, Teresa (Don) Gay of Brookport, Ruth New of Cobden, Dale Cruse (Tracy Butler) of Anna, Donna (Don) Sheffer of Jonesboro, Wanda Charles (Jim Dunn) of Paducah, Kentucky, John Lee Seals Jr. of Vienna, and Ronnie (Michelle) Seals of Dongola; 20 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; sister, Betty Doughty of Jonesboro; brother Gilbert "Sparky" Sivia of Wolf Lake; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Lee Seals Sr.; several siblings; and son-in-law Johnny New. Clara worked at Florsheim shoe factory for over 20 years until they closed. She later worked for 10 years at Gilster Mary Lee before her retirement. She loved spending time with her family and friends, fishing, attending church, singing gospel music, and giving out wet kisses. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. LaRue Parr officiating. Interment will be in the Mission Chapel Cemetery in Dongola. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Friday May 3, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
