Clara F. (Morgan) Harvell

Clara F. Harvell, age 79 of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family and fur baby, Tinker, at 10:55 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023. She was born on August 28, 1943 the daughter of Harry and Lorene (Spurlock) Morgan. She married Melvin Harvell on July 21, 1962. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2021.

Clara is survived by a son, Tony Harvell of Jonesboro; daughters, Karen Harvell Rhine of Anna, Stacey (Eric) Chilman of Jonesboro, Janice (Eric) Osman of Anna; grandchildren, Chey (Joseph) Harvell-Giles, Cori Rhine-Heembrock, Evan and Dylan Chilman, Addison and Avery Osman; great grandchildren, Ardea Rhine and Maverick Rhine-Heembrock; furbaby, Tinker; close friends, Robyn Lacy, and Elsie; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Harvell, parents, brother, Ray Gene Morgan, and granddaughter Amanda Kay Rhine.

Clara was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed sewing, painting, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her church family.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro with Pastor Perry Williams officiating. Family and friends may visit after 4:00 p.m. until the service hour at 5:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Memorial envelopes will be available at the church.
