Cheryl April Anne Wright

Cheryl April Anne Wright, age 76, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born June 16, 1948 in Meridian, TX. She married Kenneth Carlson December 3, 2002. He preceded her in death November 5, 2022.

Cheryl had a bright smile and cheerful personality. She worked for many years at the Trueblood dining hall on SIU campus. She enjoyed travelling, especially to the beach, and making stained glass with Kenneth at their home studio.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter, April Hill, and brother, David Dewitt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Carlson, and brother, Ernest Dewitt. She will be dearly missed.
