Charles M. New

Mr. Charles Maurice New, age 65 of Cobden, died at 10:02 a.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014 at his home. He was born October 8, 1948 in Munci, Indiana, the son of Lee Hollis and Hazel Malone New. Charles is survived by his children, Cindy My Dung (Don Kopinsk) of Dallas, Tx, Lysa Nguyen of Phoenix, Az, Tina Seals, Charles New Jr. Tracy New all of Cobden; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Patricia (Pete) Williams of Annapolis, MO, Larry (Charlotte) New of Muncie, IN, Clyde (Cindy) New of Bryant, IN, Johnny (Ruth) New of Anna, Ginger (Bryan) Morrison of Cobden; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Nancy Timmons. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a retired correctional officer and avid biker. Funeral services for Mr. Charles M. New will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Rev. Bryan Morrison officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Military Honors Team of Marion. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
