Mr. Charles W. Craig, age 72 of Anna, died at 3:08 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the home of his daughter. He was born October 13, 1939 in Cobden, the son of Harold E. and Grace Armour Craig. He married Ramona Sue Gillespie on August 11, 1958 in Anna. She preceded him in death on April 9, 2008.Charles is survived by one daughter, Denise Craig of Anna; two sisters, Dee (Charles) Langford of Cobden, Linda (Bob) Hill of Cobden; two brothers, Robert (Phyllis) Brimm of Dayton Ohio, Roger (Donna) Craig of Zion, IL; sisters and brothers in law, June & Bud Howard of Mt. Pleasant and Mickey & Becky Gillespie of Pawnee, IL; nieces and nephews, Janie, Jennifer, Jon, and Josh Meirndorf, Brian (Vonda) Hill and Family, Julie (Kurt) Marteney, Michael Gillespie, Melissa Jostes, Aden Jostes, Greg and Susie Ginsburg and Family, Susan and Karl Rademacher and Family, Craig and Anna Langford and Family, John and Sharon Mitchell and Family; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sue two sisters, Jean Phillips and Sue Rosenthal. Charles was a member of the Countryside Christian Church near Vienna. He was a graduate of the AJCHS class of 1957.Charles served as the Democrat Precinct Committeeman for the Stokes Precinct and was a Union County Democrat Chairman. He retired after 28 years at Tuck Tape. After his retirement he owned and operated his own taping company. Funeral services for Mr. Charles W. Craig will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Bill Littrell officiating. Interment will be in the McGinnis Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to McGinnis Cemetery or to the Countryside Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
