Charles E. "Chuck" Gaddis

Mr. Charles E. "Chuck" Gaddis, age 75 of Dongola, died at 4:54 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 in the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. He was born February 1, 1940 in Anna, the son of Edgar "Dick" and Juanita Hickam Gaddis. He married Janet Bowen on June 27, 1964 in Reno, Nevada. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Janet Gaddis of Dongola; two daughters, Tammy (Paul) Goodman of Hopkinsville, KY, Teresa (Kevin) Ralls of Anna; one son, David (Erin) Gaddis of Dongola; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson; one sister, Lois Ann Treece of Dupo; one sister in law, Cheryl Gaddis of Dongola; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Don Gaddis and brother in law, Gary Treece. Chuck was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dongola. He worked in the automotive service industry for years at both Ford and Chevrolet dealerships. He and his brother Don, operated Gaddis Automotive in Dongola for many years. Chuck loved to go fishing. Over the years he had several young men who looked up to him as a father. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. Funeral services for Mr. Charles "Chuck" Gaddis will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the Big Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
