Charles "Bud" Adams

Charles "Bud" Adams, age 85 of Millstadt and formerly of Alto Pass, died at 7:31 pm, Saturday, July 27, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville. He was born on May 15, 1928 in Alto Pass, the son of Charles Edgar and Ruby May (McCann) Adams. Bud married Doris Fuller on July 18, 1947 in Osceola, Arkansas. Bud is survived by his wife, Doris of Millstadt; one son, Gary Adams of Baldwin; one daughter, Sheryl (Thomas) Yackamouih of Okeechobee, FL; three grandchildren, Amy (Doug) Benisch, Michelle (George) Reiher and Justin Yackamouih; five great-grandchildren, Charlie, Mia and Maddie Benisch, Braeden Reiher and Radley Yackamouih; one sister, Marjorie (Gene) Adams of Alto Pass; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bud was an avid gardener and loved to work in his yard. He had a white cat named "feather" that he loved dearly. Bud retired from the Illinois Central Railroad after forty-three years of employment. Bud and Doris enjoyed traveling in their motor home following his retirement. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 12:00 pm at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home In Alto Pass with the Rev. Bryan Morrison officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 31 from 11:00 am until the funeral hour at 12:00 pm at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Alto Pass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Memorial of Alto Pass or the Alto Pass Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
