Charlene Hileman

Charlene Hileman, age 80 of Jonesboro, died Friday, November 10, 2023 at her home. She was born March 1, 1943 in Anna, the daughter of Charles and Erie J (McCommons) Rosson. She married Gerald Hileman on June 25, 1965, in Mill Creek.

She is survived by her dear husband, Gerald Hileman of Jonesboro; son, Scott Hileman of Louisville, KY; daughter, Gina (Brian) Bivin of La Grange, KY; grandchildren, Jasmine Bivin and Bryce Bivin; brother, Bob (Pat) Rosson of Goodyear, AZ; her fur baby, Stacey; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant twins; sister, Virginia Gould, and brother, Louis Rosson. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Anna. Charlene and Gerald lived in Elgin for fifteen years. She worked at the Elgin Hospital in labor and delivery. After moving back to Southern Illinois, she worked over twenty years at the Union County Long-Term Care and later Jonesboro Rehab. Charlene loved life and all it had to offer. She enjoyed working in the yard and tending to her flowers. She loved going out to eat and shopping with Gerald.

Funeral services for Charlene will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Ivan Ryan officiating. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, west of Dongola. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
