Carrie I. Hill

Mrs. Carrie I. Hill, age 99 of Anna, died at 6:31 a.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 in the Jonesboro Rehab and Healthcare Center. She was born October 12, 1914 in Wolf Lake, the daughter of Manuel and Norma Lindsey Kimmel. She married John C. Hill on December 21, 1935 in Union County. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1973. Carrie is survived by her son, Ronald (Sharolyn) Hill of Creal Springs, IL; one sister, Alma Linson of Jonesboro; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John C. Hill; three sisters, Eula Tweedy, Beulah Hill and Gloria Schaefer; and two brothers, Merle Kimmel and Paul Kimmel. Carrie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro for many years. She will be warmly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie I. Hill will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
