Carolyn Moore

Carolyn Moore, age 78 of Cobden, died Thursday, September 13, 2018 in St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born on April 18, 1940 in Jackson County, the daughter of Pearl and Opal (Brandon) Hagler. She married Wayne Moore on August 22, 1959 at the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Moore of Cobden; daughter, Sheryl Rich of Cape Girardeau, MO; sons, Rick (Tracie) Moore of Cobden and Greg Moore of Cobden; grandchildren, Miranda (Stetson) Smith, Nicole Rich, Shelby (Brandon) Burris, RJ (Fallon) Millis, Sara Millis, Travis Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Sarah Moore, Zach (Ashten) Moore and Justin Moore; great grandchildren, Bentley, Vanessa, Gage and Clayton; sisters, Linda McKinstry (special friend, Junior Porch) of Indiana and Martha (Joe) Mayer of Murphysboro; sister in law and lifelong friend, Barb Norton of Alto Pass; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Carolyn was a member of the Walnut Grove Church and played the piano there for many years. She was an amazing cook. All of Carolyn's grandchildren referred to her as, "Mimi," she will be greatly missed. Funeral services for Carolyn Moore will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 until the service hour at 2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Walnut Grove Church of Cobden. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
