Carolyn Joann (Miner) Holderfield

Joann Holderfield, age 82 of Cobden, died Monday, September 26, 2022 at the Jonesboro Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born May 14, 1940 in Alto Pass, the daughter of Herman Ellis and Katie M. (Irvin) Miner. She married Ted Holderfield on September 25, 1993 in Anna. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2013.

Joann is survived by her children, Jeff (Donna) Holderfield of Herrin, Paula Holderfield of Cobden, Carolyn Nunn of Dongola, Cindy Acala of California; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted Holderfield; brother, Edwin Minor; sisters, Imogene Shirkey and Helen Minor.

Joann was a member of the Immanuel Praise and Worship Center in Cobden for many years. She enjoyed listening to Elvis music and worshiping her Lord Jesus Christ. Joann will be deeply missed by all her family.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Immanuel Praise and Worship Center in Cobden with Rev. Carl Dillow Officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to P.A.W.S. or Union County Animal Control.
