Carolyn Joyce Follis

Carolyn Follis, age 90 of Ware, went home to her Lord and Savior Thursday, September 24, 2026. She was born September 11, 1936 in Harrisburg, the daughter of Ronald Dale and Bertha (Weiss) Wilson. She married Fawn P. Follis on June 20, 1959 in Harrisburg. He preceded her in death on November 15, 2022.

Carolyn is survived by her two daughters, Cara Follis of Jonesboro and Amy (Stuart) Rendleman of Anna; three grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Follis, Grace (Logan) Rich, and Keri (Jayden) Moore; three great-grandchildren, Mallory and Adalyn Follis and Lane Rich; other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fawn P. Follis; twin grandchildren, Baylee and Sibyl Rendleman; brother, Ronald Dale “Bud” Wilson Jr.; and sister, Eleanor Keller.

Carolyn was a member of the Ware Family Church for many years. After receiving her master’s degree, Carolyn went on to teach at various schools in the area. Many days after teaching she went home to help Fawn work on the farm. She loved her family dearly, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her joy and she will be missed beyond measure.

Graveside funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2026 at the Anna Cemetery with Pastor Sandy Estes officiating. Interment will follow. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Ware Family Church. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
