Carole Anne Hofmeister

Mrs. Carole Anne Hofmeister, age 71 of Anna, died at 2:00 am, Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at her home in Anna. Carole was born on January 21, 1943 in Chicago, the daughter of Pat John and Esther Mary (Melfi) Corvo. She was united in marriage to Carl Edward Hofmeister on January 30, 1977 in Streamwood. Carole is survived by her husband, Carl Hofmeister of Anna; three daughters, Patricia Hudgens of Joliet, JoAnne (Donald) Mulvihill of Schaumburg and Lisa (Wally) Britt of Cobden seven grandchildren, Sasha and George Hudgens, Jessica Garcia, Samantha and Tori Mulvihill and Jacob and Lillian Britt; one great-grandchild, Catherine Presley Hudgens; cousins; in-laws; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Carole was of the Catholic faith. Carole's children and grandchildren were most important to her and she loved them dearly. She loved to travel with her husband and loved to paint and was an instructor for the Donna Dewberry One Stroke painting class. A celebration of Carole's life will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the service hour at 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Entombment will be in the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Chicago. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
