Carol Jean Wiseman

Mrs. Carol Jean Wiseman, age 75 of Cobden, died at 5:40 pm, Tuesday December 10, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. She was born on December 10, 1938 in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of Arthur and Oneida (Hundley) Porter. Carol married Roger A. Wiseman Sr. on May 8, 1972 in Murphysboro. Carol is survived by her husband, Roger A. Wiseman Sr. of Cobden; six children, Mark Steven (Sarah) Wilkins, Arthur David Wilkins, Sheri Lynn (Bob) McCann, Rebecca Ann (Steve) Mitchell and Roger Alvin Jr (Denise) Wiseman and Jeanne (Dan) Brumleve; sixteen grandchildren, Amanda Wilkins, Kody Travelstead, Ashley Wilkins, Lucas McCann, Adam McCann, Miranda Mitchell, Cyrus Mitchell, Brent Williams, Dalton Williams, Taylor Williams, Courtney Williams, Forrest Harvel, Samantha Wiseman, Joseph Brumleve, Olivia Brumleve and Nathan Brumleve; five great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents. Carol was an avid reader and loved gardening and working in her flower gardens. She loved the outdoors, camping and working jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Carol Jean Wiseman will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday December 13, 2013 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Greg Etherton officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2013 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. The preferred form of remembrance would be memorial contributions to the American Red Cross Little Egypt Chapter. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
