Carol Bernice Hickam

Mrs. Carol Bernice Hickam, age 56 of Dongola, died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in the Herrin Hospital. She was born June 17, 1959 in Bruckenau, Germany. The daughter of Wendall R. Miller and Berdie (Toler) Miller. She married James Hickam in Alto Pass. Carol is survived by her husband, James Hickam of Dongola; two sons, James Allen Hickam and Justin Ray Hickam both of Dongola; father, Wendall R. (Vernita) Miller of Alto Pass; one brother, Wade (Patty) Miller of Chester; mother in law, Joan Hickam of Tamms; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother. Carol was a member of the Dongola Baptist Church for many years. She worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant. Funeral services for Mrs. Carol Bernice Hickam will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Carroll Toler officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
