Carl H. Sims

Carl H. Sims, age 83 of Jonesboro died Tuesday, April 9, 2019 in Integrity Healthcare in Anna. He was born September 17, 1935 in Cobden, the son of Jewell and Mildred Marie (Dixon) Sims. Carl is survived by his brothers and sisters, Betty Lou Wright of Anna, Patricia Wooden of Granite City, Virginia Halleck of Laural Creek, VA, Harvey Sims of Jonesboro, Judy Sims of Lake City, FL and Ralph Sims of Anna; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, T.J. Sims and Karrell Sims; and two sisters, Violia Newbery and Deloris Dover. Carl honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He worked many years as a grounds man with an electrical company. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Alto Pass Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. with Bob Dover officiating. Everyone is asked to go directly to the cemetery.
