Boyd B. Henson

Mr. Boyd B. Henson, age 87 of Jonesboro, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, February, 17, 2014 in the Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. He was born November 12, 1926 in Gideon, Missouri, the son of Thomas J. and Cora (Thomas) Henson. He married Ruth A. Martin on November 23, 1949 in Kennett, Missouri. She preceded him in death on October 11, 2006. Boyd is survived by his daughter, Joanna (Mike) Coles of Anna; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Vern Henson of Jonesboro; one sister, Audry White of Anna; one nephew, Monroe White; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth A. Martin; and two sons, Bill Eugene Henson and Larry Wayne Henson. Boyd was a member of the Trinity Pentecostal Church in Jonesboro for many years. He worked at Transcraft in Anna for 18 and later worked for E.T. Simonds Construction. He dearly loved fishing and hunting. Funeral services for Mr. Boyd B. Henson will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Geoff Bond officiating. Interment will be in the Casper Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
