The family would like to extend a very special and sincere "thank you" to Bobby Joe's buddy, Adam Mays. When Adam found out his friend was sick, he made one of Bobby Joe's dream projects a reality. For 20 years, Bobby Joe has said "I am going to put Christmas lights on that 50 foot cedar tree in the front yard." Without hesitation, Adam, with the assistance of B.J., spent many hours to surprise Bobby Joe by putting Christmas lights on that very same tree. Bobby Joe was beyond thrilled to see the lights. Special thanks to all of our family and friends who donated lights to help make a 20 year dream come true. The tree is still lit in Bobby Joe's memory.A graveside funeral service will be held at the Casper Church Cemetery in Anna, Illinois on Thursday, January 14, 2021.
