Mr. Bobby Lee "Bob" Brimm, age 86 of Anna, died at 7:25 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2015 in the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born December 20, 1928 in Union County, the son of Richard and Clara White Brimm. He married Ruby Snell in 1949 in Piggott, Arkansas. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Brimm of Anna; children, Beverly (John) Minto of Cannelton, IN, Diana (Mike) Hepburn of Anna, Alan (Carolyn) Brimm of Anna, Richard (Missy) Brimm of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren, Bryan (Rene) Davis, Brett (Jamie) Blaney, Sarah (Marty) Sanders, Carla (Mike) Janke, Michael Hepburn, Dr. Jamie Brimm, Jacob Brimm, Sammy Brimm, six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Buddy Joe (Barbara) Brimm of Marion; one sister, Barbara Kay (David) Cox of Cobden; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Carl "Cotton" Brimm and Leon Brimm. Bob was a member of the Anna First Baptist Church for over seventy years. He was a member of the Anna Masonic Lodge and the Anna Eastern Starr #522. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bob played Santa for many years at the Miles Tree Farm and many other places. He served as the custodian and bus driver for schools in Union County and was the greeter at the Anna Wal-Mart. Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Lee "Bob" Brimm will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 8, 2015 in the Anna First Baptist Church with Rev. Les Sinks and Rev. Kenneth Mixen officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. of Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Military Honors Team of Marion Friends may call from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna and from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Church. Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Star Scholarship fund or the Leisure Fund at the Anna First Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna and at the Church.
