Birdie Dean Ayers

Mrs. Birdie Ayers, age 76 of Jonesboro, died at 6:00 a.m. Monday, May 28, 2012 at her home in Jonesboro. She was born August 8, 1935 in Alto Pass, the daughter of Clifford and May Rhodes Turner. She married Darris Ayers. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2000. Birdie is survived by her three daughters, Marilyn Ayers of Wolf Lake, Darla (Michael) Kirchner of Chebanse, Brenda Freeman of Independence, Missouri; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Jean (Mathis) Ayers of Anna; two brothers, Kenneth Turner of Marseilles, and Donald Turner of Jonesboro; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Darris Ayers. A celebration of life for Mrs. Birdie Dean Ayers will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 1460 Morgan School Road Jonesboro, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available on the day of service or at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
