Mr. Billy Max Corzine, age 80 of Anna, died at 5:15 P.M. Sunday August 22, 2010 at his home in Anna. He was born July 5, 1930 in Dongola, the son of J. Frank and Celia Blanche Atherton Corzine. He married Mildred Cecilia Mallender on September 10, 1963 in Florence, Alabama. She preceded him in death on December 2, 2003. Billy is survived by two step-daughters, Kathy (Dennis) Thornburg of Anna, and Sue (Gene) Brimm of Auburn, IL; six step grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; one sister, Joann Ledbetter of Chicago; one half sister, Janice (Donald) Keller of Metropolis; one half brother, Tom (Vicki) Keller of Tamms; best friend, Joann Jenkins; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred; one sister, Mary Lee Pass; one step daughter, Betty McIntire; and one nephew, Mike Pass. Billy was a believer in Christ. He served in the U.S. Army; he also was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 318 in Marion. Funeral services for Mr. Billy Max Corzine will be held at 1:00 P. M. Wednesday August 25, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the Dongola American Legion Cemetery with military honors at the graveside by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Illinois National Guard Honor Team in Marion. Friends may call from 11:00 A. M. Wednesday August 25, 2010 until the funeral hour at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to P.A.W.S. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
