Bill T. Smith

Bill T. Smith, age 73 of Cobden, died Friday, February 15, 2019 in the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. He was born December 22, 1945 in Grand Tower, the son of Velma L. Smith. He married Georgia Niblack. Bill is survived by his wife, Georgia Smith of Cobden; one son, Bill Wright of Ozark; one brother, John Smith of Jonesboro; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, and ten brothers and sisters. Bill honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V. F. W. in Anna and served on the ritual team for many years. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral home in Anna with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna.
