Betty Jean (Smith) King

Betty Jean King, age 90 of Cobden, died Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born December 4, 1931 in Cobden, the daughter of Elmer "Candy" and Reatha (Davis) Smith. She married Fred Eugene King on December 22, 1950 in McClure. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2008.

Betty is survived by her son, Doug King of Cobden; grandchildren, Stephanie (Brandon) Hunter of Jonesboro; Patrick (Nicci) King of Fairview Heights, Liberty Batson and Tracy King; several great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Mike Batson and Larry King Sr.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2022 at the Cobden Cemetery. Interment will immediately follow. Friends may visit from 10:00 and until the service hour at 11:00 on Friday at the cemetery.
