Betty Lou (Sims) Wright

Betty L. Wright, age 87 of Anna, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at her home. She was born on April 11, 1937 in Alto Pass, the daughter of Jewel and Mildred Marie (Dixon) Sims.

Betty is survived by two brothers, Harvey and Ralph Sims; two sisters, Pat Woodin and Jenny Halleck, a nephew she raised, Donnie Coryell; other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Judy Sims, Audrey Delores Dover and Eula Viola Poole; three brothers, Carl, Karell "Gene" and Thomas Sims, and a nephew she raised, Tommy Coryell.

Betty was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed a good cup of hot tea, cheese, painting, drawing and sewing. She was an amazing artist. She worked for many years as a beautician.

Funeral services for Betty Wright will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Allen Plott officiating. Interment will follow in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Big Creek Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
