Betty L. Post

Mrs. Betty L. Post, age 77 of Jonesboro, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at her home in Jonesboro. She was born January 8, 1935 in Jonesboro, the daughter of John H. and Mabel Williams Spurlock. She married Joe Post on November 16, 2002 in Wolf Lake. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2009. Betty is survived by her mother, Mabel Spurlock of Anna; two sons, Rick (Dee) Knight of Jonesboro, Gary (Renee) Knight of Anna; one daughter, Rhonda Knight of Carbondale; one step son, Joe Post Jr. of Dongola; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Rita Hancock of Jonesboro; three brothers, Mark Spurlock of Dongola, Johnny Spurlock of Dongola, Frank Spurlock of Decatur, IL; nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father; husband Joe Post; and four infant sons. Betty was a member of the Trinity Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Jonesboro for many years. Funeral services for Mrs. Betty L. Post will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Trinity Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Jonesboro with Rev. Geoffery Bond officiating. Interment will be in the Casper Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour on Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Trinity Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Jonesboro.
