Mrs. Betty Jean King, age 85 of Anna, died at 9:12 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2015 in the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born May 29, 1930 in Alto Pass, the daughter of Nathaniel and Myrtle (Pender) King. Betty is survived by her three children; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Jackson, Mary Elkins and Laura (Robert) Spiller; two brothers, Fred (Jean) King and Richard (Tia) King; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Roy King. Betty was of the Baptist faith, but in recent years she attended the United Methodist Church in Anna. Betty was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean King will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Walter Jackson officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
