Betty L. Stricklin, age 80 of Anna, formerly of Harrisburg, died Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. She was born on July 25, 1943 in Rosiclare, the daughter of Sidney and Lucy (Henson) Ford. She married Bobby D. Stricklin. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1991.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Cara Stricklin of Anna and Sherry Curtis of Hopkinsville, KY; a son, Mark Stricklin of Harrisburg; grandchildren, John, Jason, James and Josh Curtis and Skyler and Dustin Stricklin; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Ashdin Curtis; siblings, Paula Shewmake, Judy Thompson, Dorothy Scott and Diane Ford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and her faithful pet Pixie. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Roy and Leo Ford.
Betty was a member of the Refuge Worship Center in Ware. She was a loving and caring Mom and Granny, who greatly enjoyed taking care of kids. She loved gardening and being outside. When inside, she liked to cook and bake and was always busy keeping her house clean and in order.
Funeral services for Betty Stricklin will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2024 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Danny Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral time at Noon on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home to assist with final expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
