Betty L. Dillow, age 79 of Jonesboro, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, with her loving family by her side. She was born November 14, 1946 in Anna, the daughter of Herman and Gladys (Miller) Houseman. She married Allen E. Dillow on May 15, 1970 at Ebenezer Church in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death October 6, 2015.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Lesley (Gary) Kinder; son, Otis Gene Dillow; grandchildren, Victoria (Eric) Spaulding, Chase Stoffel, Otis Gene Dillow, Jr., and Katrina Dillow (Austin Slone); step-grandchildren, Jennifer Kinder (Thomas Hill), and Bobby Kinder; great-grandchildren, Jacelyn, Ryker, and Lainey Spaulding, and Savannah, Austin, Ocean, and Marie Slone; step great-grandchildren, Matt and Charlie Aiden, Lucas Hill, and Isaac, Liam, and Cynthia Kinder; brother, Lonnie (Sheila) Houseman; sister, Tammy Murphy; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and sister, Linda Roberts.
Betty was a member of McClure United Pentecostal Church. She was a busybody and loved being outside. She enjoyed tending to her garden. In earlier years, she enjoyed travelling with her husband, Allen, and staying at different military bases. Betty loved her family and will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2026 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Robert Smithey officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Jonesboro. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. Donations can be made electronically by using the link below. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
