Betty D. Cast

Betty D. Cast, age 77 of Murphysboro, formerly of Union County, died Friday, August 7, 2020 at Integrity Healthcare of Anna. She was born December 1, 1942, the daughter of John R. and Iva Mae (Seals) Williams. She married William cast on February 13, 1962 in Anna. Betty loved working her crossword puzzles, playing Bingo, and absolutely loved her dog Sadie. She is survived by her daughter, Alisa (Rodney) Wachsnicht of Anna; son, Gary Dewayne (Andrea) Cast of Swansboro, NC; grandchildren, Briana Cast, Kayla Flemming, Garrett Cast, John and Carl Phillips; great grandchildren, Bobby and Caitlin Phillips, Blake and Makenna Flemming, and Ella and Mia Cast; nieces, Leslie Miller, Ellen Williams, and Pamela Cast; nephews, Jimmy and Buddy Cast; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Cast; and two sisters, Katherine Williams and Erma Louise Williams; and nephew, Elige Cast. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour of 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow ceremony in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Everyone attending will be required to wear a face covering and observe social distancing guidelines. Maximum occupancy of the funeral home will be limited to 50 individuals at one time.
