Betty Idele (Bollinger) Crain

Betty Idele Crain, age 96 of Freeburg, formerly of Union County, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025 in Freeburg. She was born on August 25, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Bonny Bollinger and Joda (Kelso) Landers. She married Loy Casper. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1972.

Betty is survived by her children, Cindy Wenger and Bonny Rotman, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 13 great great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Neil Casper, daughter, Mary Ann Jones, sister, Mary Boyd and brother, Eugene Bollinger.

Betty was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church. She loved flowers and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and making ceramics. She worked at Fellowship House in Anna before her retirement. Betty never met a stranger. She will be missed.

Graveside funeral services for Betty Crain will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Jonesboro Cemetery with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating. Interment will follow. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the service time at noon on Friday, October 10, 2025.
