Bertha "Beth" Mae Weiss

Bertha "Beth" Mae Weiss, age 84 of Anna, died Saturday, October 5, 2019 in her home. She was born June 17, 1935 the daughter of Jesse Amuel and Ruth L. (Spurlock) Rushing. Beth is survived by her children, John Svejda of Indiana; Frank Svejda of Texas, Katrina Svejda of Corpus Christi, TX, Ruby Svejda of Anna, Cleo Ellett of Oconomowoc, WI, Lawrence Weiss of Anna; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest Rushing of Kansas City, KS; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Margaret Verbanic, Kathrine Hill, Peggy Poole, Mary Riley, Russell Rushing, and infant sister, Marie Rushing. Beth enjoyed flower gardening and music. She was a great cook and she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Beth comes from a very strong Christian background. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the Casper Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
