Bernard Lee "Bernie" Steck Ii

Bernard Lee "Bernie" Steck II, age 65 of Jonesboro, died at 5:45 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 at his home. He was born August 2, 1952 in Alton, the son of Bernard Lee and Ruth A. (Trammel) Steck. He married Randy J. Fazette on June 28, 1975 at Inspiration Point. Bernie is survived by his wife Randy J. Steck of Jonesboro; daughter, Becky (Jeremy) Wheaton of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Jason Goodman, Tiffany Goodman, Christa Wheaton, Caitlyn Wheaton, Brody Gulledge and Nevaeh Wheaton; sister, Sherly (William) Bryant of Jonesboro; niece, Jessica (Matt) Pearson of Jonesboro; other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Bernie was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church. Bernie was very creative with his hands and worked as a welder and metal fabricator. He was a lifelong Harley Davidson enthusiast which coincided with his love for the outdoors. Bernie was a self-taught herpetologist and an avid fisherman. Earlier in his life he was a tattoo artist. Bernie will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
