Beatrice H. Claxton

Mrs. Beatrice H. Claxton, age 96, of Jonesboro, died at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday November 17, 2010 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born November 6, 1914 in Kennett, Missouri, the daughter of Henry A. and Eva F. Pearl Hileman. She married George Ferguson in 1936; he preceded her in death in 1966. She then married Lee Claxton in 1969; he preceded her in death in 1991. Bea is survived by her nieces; great nieces; great nephews; great-great nieces; and great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two husbands, George Ferguson and Lee Claxton. Bea was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro. She was also a member of the Anna VFW Ladies' Auxiliary. She retired from International Shoe Company and Florsheim Shoe in Anna after working there 45 years.Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice H. Claxton will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Clifford Heil officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Jonesboro or American Heart Association.
