Barbara J. (Robertson) Livesay

Barbara J. Livesay, age 87 of Jonesboro, died Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Fountainbleau Lodge Skilled Nursing Facility in Cape Girardeau. She was born on February 12, 1937 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of Everett and Margie (Choate) Robertson. She married Charles Wayne Livesay on December 24, 1956 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2021.

Barbara is survived by her son, Kevin (Dena) Livesay of Ware; grandson, Brandon (Whitney) Robertson of Ware; great grandchildren, Kayden, Aubrie, Kinley, and Olivia; her lifelong friend, Rosemary Pender; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, Iris Jean Toler and Patricia Ann Crippin and brother, Jimmy Dale Gast.

Barbara was a member of the Ware Baptist Church. She was a stern woman, very strong in her faith. She always kept her Bible nearby. She loved her German Shepherds but most of all, she loved her grandson Brandon and her great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Barbara J. Livesay will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Davy Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at noon on Friday, May 24, 2024 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the activities fund at Fountainbleau Lodge. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
