Barbara C. Pitts

Barbara C. Pitts, age 86 of Anna, died Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Union County Hospital. She was born on February 9, 1935 in Anna, the daughter of Merle and Pearl (Brasel) Clutts. She married Jack Pitts on March 16, 1956. He preceded her in death in 2001. Barbara is survived by her children, Ed (Cathy) Pitts of Cobden, Jack (Tanya) Pitts of Anna, and Tina (Brent) Boyd of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Brandi Boyd, Jessie (Michael) Rogers, Nikki (Kenny) Shipley, Samantha Pitts, and Dustin Pitts; great-grandchildren, Henley Rogers and Logan Shipley; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Pitts; son, Bob Pitts; brother, Merle Eugene Clutts. Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She liked to cook, sew, and do puzzle books. She loved her flowers. She was an avid reader and liked to watch sports. She was a member at the Bethel Baptist Church in Cobden. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Kelley Cemetery in Cobden. Interment will immediately follow. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Kelley Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home.
