Barbara "Bobbie" Adams

Mrs. Barbara "Bobbie" Adams, age 82 of Anna, died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at home. She was born April 30, 1935 in Cobden, the daughter of Earl and Bessie (Lewis) Guthrie. She married James D. Adams on October 17, 1953 in Clinton, IA. Bobbie is survived by her husband, J.D. Adams of Anna; step-mother, Mernie Guthrie of Booneville, MS; two sons, Timothy Adams and his wife Mary Rothschild-Adams of Anna and Jamie (Amber) Adams of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren, Jocelyn Frey, Katlyn Frey and Eban Adams; two sisters, Earlene Guthrie Cyrill of Spartanburg, SC and Donna Cartmell of Booneville, MS; nieces and nephews; long-time friends, Opal Ulrich, Laura Mueller and Barbara Gamble; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Bobbie was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna and the American Legion. Bobbie was a hairdresser for many years. She enjoyed reading and crocheting in her spare time. She would always send cards to others for special occasions. Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara "Bobbie" Adams will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Pastor Mark Hasty officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
