August Paul Layman

Mr. August Layman, age 84, of Anna, formerly of Benton, died at 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 at his home. He was born July 1, 1932 in West Frankfort, the son of William and Beatrice (Layman) Matthews. He was adopted and raised by his grandparents, Jay and Cora Layman.August was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna. He is survived by his brothers, Ray Earl Hosick, Donnie Hosick, and Mike Hosick; one sister, Corrine Brookshire; family and friends at ILS 6.He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; two brothers, Jack Layman and Roy Hosick; one sister, Sharon Aiken.Funeral Mass for August Paul Layman will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Father Federico Higuera officiating. Interment will be in Masonic-Odd Fellow Cemetery in Benton. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m.-10 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
