Audrey Delores Dover

Audrey Delores Dover, age 86 of Anna, died Sunday, March 11, 2018 at her sons home. She was born March 17, 1931, in Union County, the daughter of Jewell "Jude" and Mildred Marie (Dixon) Sims. She married Harry L. "Sonny" Dover on July 9, 1946 in Union County. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2003. Audrey is survived by her children, Harry Lee (Jerre) Dover of Lancaster, OH, Dorain (Mike) Lingle of Marion, Bob (Terri) Dover of Anna, Wayne (Karen) Dover of Jonesboro, Dana (Amy) Dover of Anna and Melody (Larry Jo) Keller of Jonesboro; fourteen grandchildren; thirty nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous brothers and sisters; other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry L. "Sonny" Dover; granddaughter, Nichole Dover; one great-granddaughter, Hadley Chase Ashby;son in law, Gaylon Pulliam; two brothers and one sister. Audrey was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church. She was a longtime member of the Anna Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid reader, Audrey loved books of all kinds. Until her health recently failed she read two to three books a week. Spending time with her family was very important to her, she will be dearly missed by all who loved her. During the warm months she enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating. Order of the Eastern Star services will be at 12:30. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Friday March 16, 2017 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
