April Lynn Anderson

Mrs. April Lynn Anderson, age 39 of West Blocton, Alabama, died at 12:05 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at her home. She was born June 16, 1975 in Chicago Heights, IL, the daughter of Daniel and Christine Stevers Cook. April is survived by her three children, Anthony Michael (Jessie Biggs) Anderson of Desoto, Brandon Lyn Anderson of Carbondale and Christopher Dale Anderson Jr. of Makanda; father, Daniel (Abby) Cook of Makanda; mother, Christine (Robert) Foster of Manchester, TN; grandmother, Sylvia Cook of Quincy, IL; one brother, Sam (Glenda) Cook of Vestavia, AL; close friend, Guy "Bubba" Sloan and the Sloan family all of West Brocton, AL; other relatives and friends. April was raised in Crete, IL, her grandparents Sylvia and Oneil Cook were a great influence on her. She enjoyed playing with all her cousins as a child. As a young adult she lived in Tennessee, married and had three children. Although the Lord Jesus chose to take her too young, she had a zeal for life. She enjoyed gardening, her animals, singing, learning, talking and crocheting, making many afghans for her children and family. Recently she lived in West Brocton, Alabama, where she passed away at home. Funeral services for Mrs. April Lynn Anderson will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Cook Home, 823 West McGuire Road in Makanda, IL with Daniel Cook officiating. Interment will be in the Rowan Cemetery in Makanda. Friends are asked to go directly to the Cook Home at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014.
