Antia G. Hurst

Mrs. Anita G. Hurst, age 76 of Alto Pass, died at 3:27 a.m. Sunday, September 18, 2016 in Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was born August 23, 1940 in Cobden, the daughter of Lee and Roxie (Newberry) Pearson. Anita is survived by her daughter, Tishea Pearson, of Cobden; two grandchildren, Breeze and Justin Pearson; one great grandchild, Izabell Hill; Johnny Moutel of Elco who was like a son; three brothers, Donald Pearson of Cambria, Richard Pearson of Carbondale and Kenneth Pearson of Cobden; sister, Fay Marks of Cobden; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel Hurst; son, Berry Pearson; three brothers, Gene, Corkey and Doug Pearson; and two sisters, Kay Robinson and Lillian Kinder. A celebration of life pot luck dinner for Mrs. Anita G. Hurst will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2017 in the Makanda Fellowship Hall.
