Anne M. Szafranski

Anne M. Szafranski, age 90 of Dongola, died Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the Union County Hospital. She was born May 28, 1930 in Joliet, the daughter of Marco and Anna (Cernetich) Petric. She married John F. Szafranski on May 28, 1949 in Joliet. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2006. Anne is survived by her children, Thomas Szafranski of Anna, Gerald Szafranski of West Dundee, Yvonne (Steve) Eickelman of Dongola, & Michele (Ken) Richter of Anna; siblings, Terri Marine of Chicago, Tony Petric of Joliet, & Donald Petric of Hueytown, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John F. Szafranski; sister, Angela Michalesko; brother, Raymond Petric. Anne enjoyed gardening and baking. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna. Private services will be held for the family.
