Ann Etta Seliger

Anna Etta Seliger, age 82 of Anna, died Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was born June 19, 1937 in Union County, the daughter of Lester Osman and Cynthia Mae (Williams) Miller. She married George Seliger on May 11, 1963 and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2009. Ann Etta is survived by her son, Dale (Kim) Seliger of Monee; siblings, Eleanor Clardy of Anna, Larry (Jane) Miller of Cobden, Donna Miller of Texas, Cynthia Hall of Anna, Betty (Max) Casey of Buncombe, Janet (Jack) Treece of Marissa, Jim (Rhonda) Brumitt of Jonesboro; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Seliger; daughter, Gail Seliger; siblings, Joyce Miller, Gerald Miller, and Carol Miller; brothers-in-law, Jim Clardy and Larry Hall. Ann Etta was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church. She and her husband owned and operated Steger True Value in Steger, Illinois from 1969 to 2013. She loved to travel and most recently she went on a mission trip to Israel. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Anna Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Anna Heights Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anna Heights Baptist Church.
