Anita Davis

Anita Davis, age 88 of Anna, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born October 14, 1932, the daughter of Henry Doyle and Eva Myrtle (Hinkle) Hileman. She married the love of her life Charles F. "Chuck" Davis on September 2, 1951 in Anna. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1991. Anita loved going out to eat and spending time with her friends. She attended Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455. She worked for many years at G.C. Murphy in downtown Anna, then worked at Anna City Hall until she retired. She is survived by her godchildren, Michelle (Ronnie) Barnhart and Natalie (David) Stanley; special niece, who was like a daughter to her, Teresa (Todd) Vincent of Anna; brothers, Robert (Doris) Hileman of Anna and Terry (Mary Beth) Hileman of Jonesboro; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. "Chuck" Davis; parents; sister, Shirley M. Mueller and brother, Henry L. Hileman. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Anna City Cemetery with Pastor Mark Hasty officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. at the Anna City Cemetery. Interment will immediately follow the service. Everyone attending will be required to wear a face covering and observe social distancing guidelines. Memorials can be made to Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
