Anita D. Bittle

Anita D. Bittle, age 83 of Jonesboro died Friday, October 01, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in Jonesboro Rehab & Healthcare. Anita was born December 19, 1926 in Anna to Daniel and Doris Ferrel Frick. She married Dennis Roy Bittle on March 30, 1946 in Anna. He preceded her in death. Anita is survived by her sons, Michael (Dee) Bittle of Peoria and Rick (Joan) Bittle of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Logan, Ryan, Megan and Brock Bittle; five sisters, Jean Graham of Anna, Martha Wiley of East Peoria, Pat (Maury) Farris of Morton, Sue (Don) Choate of Jonesboro, and Marilyn (Orville) Vancil of Cape Girardeau, Mo., one brother, Kenneth (Irma) Frick of Jonesboro, one sister-in-law, Shirley Frick of East Peoria. She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters; Pauline Bittle, Vivian Frick, and Janice Appel; brothers, Herman, Don, and Bon Frick; brothers-in-law, Howard Bittle, Glenn Appel, Doyle Graham and Ralph Wiley. Her life's work was the care and love of her family. Once widowed she was employed at Anna State Hospital and was a floral designer for Robinson's Florist until she fully retired to care for her grandchildren and independently pursue her passion for needlework and craft design. Funeral Services for Anita Bittle will be Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 1:30 at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Chaplain Greg Bittle officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Jonesboro Rehab & Healthcare.
