Amanda Lea (Holderfield) Garcia

     Amanda Lea (Holderfield) Garcia, age 45, passed away January 27, 2026. She was born on May 31, 1980 in Carbondale the daughter of Rhonda (Holderfield) Hernandez-Sanchez. She was raised in Murphysboro, Illinois and spent the last 10 years living in Virgina.

      Amanda is survived by her son, Jaime Garcia; sisters, Jennifer Borjas (Holderfield), Ashley Hernandez (Holderfield), Kimberly Aguilar (Garcia) and Natalia Cruz; her loving aunt, Lisa Hubbs; and her many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart Erica, Jessica, Cesar, Alex, Tony, Nena, Katalaya, Ana, Sara. Amanda was also a cherished cousin to Misty and Brandi Holderfield; stepfathers, Danny Garcia and Jose Sanchez; many more relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Victor Garcia; mother, Rhonda Hernandez-Sanchez; brother, Jamie Garcia; grandparents, Wilma and Ted Holderfield.

     Amanda will be remembered for her love of her family, her strength and the warmth she brought into the lives of those who knew her.

     A private celebration of life will be held for all of her loving family at a later date.
