Alyssa Loveless

     Alyssa Loveless, 32, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away on July 18, 2026, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born September 15, 1993 in Elgin, Illinois. Though her time here carried challenges few could understand, Alyssa’s life was filled with love, courage, and a spirit that made the world brighter.

     Alyssa was nonverbal and used a wheelchair, but those things never defined who she was. People may have noticed the chair or the silence, but the people who knew her saw something much greater: a young woman who could light up a room without ever saying a word. Her smile, expressions, presence, and the love she shared with her family spoke louder than words ever could.

     From the beginning, Alyssa was a fighter who defied all odds. When she was born, doctors said she might not survive a day. But Alyssa had a strength and determination that could not be measured. She fought for 32 years with a courage that inspired everyone around her. Along the way, she taught her family lessons in compassion, empathy, patience, resilience, and unconditional love. Alyssa gave more joy than she could ever know, and her life left a permanent mark on every heart that loved her.

     Alyssa was deeply loved and cared for by her late father, Marshall Loveless; her mother, Rita Loveless-Riccobono; and her stepfather, Thomas Riccobono, who devoted their lives to her care and happiness. She shared a special bond with her big brother, Aaron Loveless, and his wife, Stephanie Loveless, who was also one of Alyssa’s loving caregivers. Alyssa was also blessed to have Megan Kelley, who devoted many years to caring for her with love, kindness, and support. Her family takes comfort in knowing that Alyssa is now free from pain, whole, and reunited in Heaven with her father, Marshall, and all the loved ones who went before her.

     Alyssa is survived by her mother, Rita Loveless-Riccobono; her stepfather, Thomas Riccobono; her brother, Aaron Loveless; her sister-in-law, Stephanie Loveless; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her father, Marshall Loveless; her grandparents, Leota, Elbert, Thelma, and Betty Mae; and her uncles, Jimmie Roach, Johnny Loveless, and Joey Loveless.

     A celebration of Alyssa’s life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Church, 307 W. Vienna Street, Anna, Illinois 62906.

     Alyssa will be remembered not for what she could not say or do, but for the extraordinary love, joy, and light she brought into the lives of everyone around her. She fought bravely, loved deeply, and will be carried in the hearts of her family forever.
