Alma Isabell (Dillow) Osterholm

Alma Isabell (Dillow) Osterholm, age 88 of Anna, died peacefully, Tuesday, August 25, 2026. She was born February 24, 1938 in Cobden, the daughter of James Edward and Clyde (Harris) Dillow. She and her siblings were raised by their great-uncle and aunt, Lloyd and Stella Harris. She married Harvey Osterholm on June 27, 1959 in University City, MO. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2004.

Alma is survived by her daughter, Deborah Jung Osterholm and her partner, Dennis Raddle; grandson, Adam Jung Osterholm and his wife, Jordan; great-granddaughter, Claira Vi Osterholm; brothers, Billy Dillow, Ken and wife, Carol Dillow; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Harvey Osterholm; husband, Harvey Osterholm; siblings, Juanita Freeman, Mary Lou (Carroll) Lang, Betty Grant and James Dillow.

Alma was retired from Choate Mental Health where she worked for 28 years as an RN. Alma was very involved with the Union County Hospital Auxiliary, the Anna-Jonesboro Garden Club and Relay for Life. Through the garden club she was part of the Garden Therapy Committee, and served as their historian. She was an avid reader and loved traveling both in the states and abroad.

Alma was the matriarch of their family. She always sent cards for special occasions and birthdays to remind them of how special they were to her. Alma would make it a point to visit any of her friends that would be in the hospital or nursing home, eventually she would make new friends during her visits and take time to go visit them too.

Graveside funeral services for Alma Isabell (Dillow) Osterholm will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the Anna Cemetery with Rev. Randy Wright officiating. Interment will follow. Graveside visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. and until the service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the Anna Cemetery. Memorial contributions are preferred to P.A.W.S., St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
