Alice Mae West

Mrs. Alice Mae West, age 89 of Dayton, TN. and formerly of Anna, died at 1:25 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Life Care Center of Rhea County, Tennessee. She was born December 1, 1924 in Jonesboro, the daughter of Florence and Alice (Axley) Brown. She married Leon West on December 27, 1941 in Union County. Alice is survived by her children; Ronald Leon (Carmen) West of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Barbara Jean (Bill) Houston of Dayton, Tennessee; three grandchildren; Amy Berkley of Dayton, TN, Keith Smith of Clarksville, TN, Jennifer Marsh of Sevierville, TN; four great grandchildren; Aedan Marsh; Ryan Berkley; Alyssa Berkley; Hope Berkley; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; Dennis Brown, Helen Dodd, Ruth Hancock, Cecile Hammon, Martha Stone.Alice was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro for many years.Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Mae West will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may from 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 3:00 p.m. at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
