Alan Lafoon

Alan Lafoon, 62 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 22, 1959 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of Carl and Mary Anna (Busch) Lafoon. He is survived by his sister, Susan (Rick) Sherwood of Cobden; a special friend, Nancy Langford of Louisville; an aunt, Bobby Sue McCall of Silver City, New Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Alan enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, golf and photography. Living in Louisville, he loved the Kentucky Derby and the horses. He served his country in the United States Air Force. For many years, he worked as an auto mechanic in both Carbondale, Illinois and Louisville. Graveside services for Alan Lafoon will be held at the Cobden Cemetery at a later date. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden is in charge of arrangements.
