Agnes Joan Mueller "JoAnne", age 88, was born November 25, 1930 and peacefully died on December 5, 2018 after illness following a stroke in February 2017. She was the daughter of Gladys Pearl (Kimmel) and Herbert Rendleman and was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Kenneth H, her sisters Ruth Modglin and Peggy Norton and her beloved son Kenneth W. Mueller. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Mueller-Fleenor; grand-children Matthew, Jane, Scott and Ellen; daughter-in-law Rebecca Mueller; two great grand-children Charlotte and Todd; and also leaves behind loved nieces, a nephew, family and friends. JoAnne spent her birth through graduation from high school in Wolf Lake, IL and there, after WWII, met the love of her life, Kenneth. They were married in Anna at Trinity Lutheran Church and were married 70 years until Dad's death in December 2017. Both were faithful members of Trinity Lutheran throughout their lives. JoAnne lived and worked in Anna all of her married life and was a long-term employee of Anna State Hospital. She and Dad traveled in retirement years and she was especially fond of travels to honor Dad's WWII service with the 100th bomb group and for the Veteran Honor trips to Washington D.C. She was an avid baseball, Cardinals, and basketball, Bulls, fan and tried to never miss watching or listening to a game. When Ken was young, she tried to never miss his little league games or high school basketball games. For many years, after Mom convinced Dad in 1978 he would learn to dance, Mom loved to go dancing with her best partner, Dad, and they were a beautiful couple. Mom loved and was dearly loved by her family. Mom, we will miss. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
